Jay graduated with a degree in Community Arts from the University of Strathclyde in 2003. Jay began her career working with autistic adults focusing on supporting individuals to develop alternative forms of communication using the arts. In 2006 she began working with children and young people initially as a co-ordinator developing youth activities in one local area of West Dunbartonshire before moving to a management role developing creative support programmes throughout the region.

Jay joined the community arts charity Impact Arts in 2009 as the Programme Manager in Glasgow then Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. Her role included managing all flagship and bespoke creative support programmes in Edinburgh, the Lothian’s and the Borders. 

In April 2014 she moved into a senior management role as Head of Delivery with Impact Arts.

In June 2015 Jay left Impact Arts to concentrate on developing my own individual projects - Creative Consultancy and Watch This Space Productions.
